Zeaxan FAQ: 40 Questions and Answers

Zeaxan Advanced Formula is a capsule dietary supplement. Each bottle holds 60 capsules. The front label reads "Supports Eye Health" and "Supports Comfort". Those are the brand's words, marked with the FDA asterisk.

The label reads "DISTRIBUTED BY: Titan Labs LLC, Coconut Creek FL 33073" and names no factory. Thezeaxan, the U.S. stocking partner for Zeaxan, runs this website and the order links.

A white label with a black cap and base. A large blue-violet eye graphic fills the front. The label also shows "TITAN LABS", "ADVANCED FORMULA", "DIETARY SUPPLEMENT • 600mg" and "60 CAPSULES".

We do not say it does, and no study of this formula has been published. The brand panel lines, such as "Vision Performance Support", are claims the FDA has not evaluated. For any change in your sight, see an eye doctor.

It is a different formula, and no one has tested Zeaxan in that way. AREDS2, run by the National Eye Institute, used 10 mg of lutein and 2 mg of zeaxanthin a day with other nutrients, in people with intermediate age-related macular degeneration. The NEI says the earlier AREDS formula showed no benefit for people without the disease or with early disease.

Adults 18 and older. The label says "Adult Use Only". It also asks pregnant or nursing mothers and anyone with a known medical condition to consult a physician first.

One 600 mg proprietary blend of 11 ingredients per 2-capsule serving: Himalayan pink salt, cinnamon extract, AGP choline, bacopa monnieri (20%), lutein (5%), bilberry leaf powder, vitamin B6, ginkgo biloba powder, vitamin B12 (1%), zeaxanthin (5%) and green tea extract (50%). Inactive ingredients are rice flour, magnesium stearate and silica dioxide. See the full ingredients page.

Blend ingredients are listed from most to least by weight. So Himalayan pink salt is the largest single ingredient in the blend. It could be anywhere from about 55 mg to 600 mg. The label does not say, and salt is not an eye nutrient.

The label does not say. By blend order, lutein is at most 120 mg and zeaxanthin at most 60 mg of their ingredient materials. If the 5% means a 5% extract, that would be at most about 6 mg of lutein and 3 mg of zeaxanthin. These are ceilings, not real amounts.

Most likely they describe standardized ingredient materials, for example a lutein material that is 5% lutein. The label does not explain them, so we cannot confirm this.

We do not know. Both are inside the blend with no amount or % Daily Value, which is unusual for vitamins. If you take other supplements with B6, add them up. The upper limit for adults is 100 mg a day (NIH ODS, 2023).

The label spells it "AGP Choline". It most likely means alpha-GPC (glycerophosphocholine), a choline source. The label does not spell it out. Men need about 550 mg of choline a day from all foods.

Bacopa research is about memory and processing speed, not eyes. Nine trials of a standardized extract taken for 12 weeks or more found small gains in processing speed. NCCIH says there is no conclusive evidence that ginkgo helps any condition. The bilberry here is leaf powder, while most studies use the fruit. NCCIH says the leaves may be unsafe in high doses or with long use, and rigorous studies found bilberry did not improve night vision in healthy people.

The label says: "As a dietary supplement, take 2 capsules daily between meals, or as directed by your healthcare provider." That is one serving a day, so a 60-capsule bottle lasts 30 days. The how-to-use page covers the routine.

Follow the label: between meals. A brand panel titled "How to take daily" says "Take 2 Capsules daily after meal for best results". The two do not agree. The label is the official direction, so we follow it.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist. Bacopa may cause stomach upset in some people. Your healthcare provider can tell you whether taking it with a meal is fine for you, which the label allows ("or as directed by your healthcare provider").

No. The label says "Do not exceed recommended dose." Taking more does not make results come sooner, and it adds more of every ingredient, including the B6.

Take your usual 2 capsules the next day. Do not double up. The brand panel says "Best Results when taken consistently every day", so a set time of day helps.

The label says: "FOR BEST RESULTS, CONSUME WITHIN 60 DAYS OF OPENING BOTTLE." At 2 capsules a day, a bottle is gone in 30 days. Store it in a cool, dry place.

Most ingredients have safety notes in public research. The label asks anyone pregnant, nursing, under 18 or with a known medical condition to consult a physician first. Read the full side effects page before you start.

It may. Ginkgo may add to blood thinners like warfarin and matters before surgery. Cinnamon may add to diabetes medicines. Green tea extract can lower levels of nadolol and atorvastatin. Show your doctor the label if you take any medicine.

Rare liver injury has been linked to green tea extract capsules. Here it is listed last, so it is at most 55 mg of a 50% material. That is far below the 800 mg a day of EGCG that EFSA linked to raised liver markers.

No. Blurry vision, eye pain, flashes, floaters or a sudden change in sight need an eye exam, not a supplement. Regular dilated eye exams are the way to track eye health.

No. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements. The seal says it is made in an FDA-registered facility, which describes the factory, not the product.

Do not use it. The label says "DO NOT USE IF SAFETY SEAL IS DAMAGED OR MISSING." Photograph the seal and call the Zeaxan order desk with your order ID.
